I have error code 73 and the right bottom red light flashes on my 360.
Ive replaced x-clamps
Ive added 3 new fans
Ive replaced the thermal paste
ive cut out the rear shoud
I have new whisper fans
I am ruinning out of options, next i just run it over with my vehicle....
Help anyone please....
Ive searched the depths of the internet, no eplaination or fix that i can find.

thanks, Ive done a lot to this 360 to try and keep it cool and this error code has me stumped..... I wasn't able to see if all the new fans I have worked cause this error code jumped up out of no where.

Sounds like you need to adjust the pressure of the screws holding the heatsinks to the board. I've had to adjust them quite a bit, for it to become stable.
Try reducing the pressure, that dont work try adding/removing washers. Its teadious but in the end it will be worth it when your 360 comes back to life.

Ill try that, I will play around with the heatsink some more, adding removing washers. Could I have damaged the mobo or gpu chips by over tightening and that why I get error 73??? Like I have stated I cant find anything on error code 73.
But thanks I will try what you said to do, you guys have never steered me wrong in the past, thanks, Ill post results.

You can get all kinds of errors from the x-clamp mod. Depends on what was wrong with your 360 to start, so its hard to tell what errors can pop up.
Best bet is to play with x-clamp some.

new development, I slowly tightened the screws on the heatsink until I got 1 red light, I lightly losened the screws until i have 3 red lights, error code 0110.... does this mean that i have a soldier problem with the gpu??? with 3 red lights do i have the right tighness for the heatsink??? what do you guys think i should do next?

well, I have tried evreything and no dice. I have no Idea what error 73 is but Im sure it means that i cant fix my 360 and it is garbage. I have tried everthing, added new thermal paste, tried new washers, tightened and loosened, cant get rid of this 1 red light.....
Im running out of options here.
i guess i have a xbox360 shaped paper weight.

There are times when the x-clamp mod will not work. Id try and sell it on Egay, mention you tried the x-clamp mod and weren't sucessfull. There are people out there that will buy it.
